Once you have the music kit in your possession, you will need to navigate to the equipment page where you will be able to equip your music kit the same way you would equip any other item. You can do so by purchasing one of them on a CS: GO market of your choice. In order to equip a music kit in CS:GO, you will first need to acquire it. Music Kitten is an Electron app (sorry) that uses the Game State Integration API in CS:GO to play custom music kits. I assume it was because some people used this method to steal and use the paid music kits.īy the time I started getting interested in music kits, there was no longer a way to replace the built-in music kits.


Anyone could replace these files to change the soundtrack however they pleased (locally only, of course). When the feature was first launched, the audio files for all music kits were just sitting out in CS:GO's install directory. I don't think I'm the only one who has wished for music kits from different artists to be included in the game. However, there aren't that many to choose from. Being able to personalize the game's soundtrack is a fun and unique feature. Gee, I sure hope my app is ready for prime-time.
